These yarn bowls are handcrafted in Montana, made to be used, and to bring a smile!

A beautiful find at the Copper K Fiber Festival in Whitehall, Montana!  Patti Gregerson’s pottery starts as a ball of raw clay and the journey begins as she walks side-by-side through every phase of the pottery wheel work, drying, trimming, carving, surface decoration, drying, sanding, firing in an electric kiln to 1888 degrees, glazing, and firing once more to between 2100 and 2250 degrees. The potter’s wheel helps her to produce consistent forms with structure. The kiln firing sets the form and instilled integrity. The glazing is done by hand using brushes, and dresses the pot, adding charm and beautiful color. A little sway, a drip of glaze, the lines formed from the potter’s hands at the wheel, all add character, charm, and a memory of the small ball of clay that grew into something with purpose.

Yarn Bowls measure approximately 5 1/2 inches in diameter by 4 inches tall with multiple holes for yarn and needles.  However, each bowl has a unique shape, glaze, and texture which makes each bowl a one-of-a-kind work of art!
