Description

Merino Shawl Ball – With over 400 yards you will find enough yarn to create a medium sized shawl that is light but warm.  Use two balls and you will have a large warm shawl or wrap to see you through the chilliest of days.  The gradients transition smoothly keeping you engaged and enthralled as you work on your project!  Freia’s custom-spun, single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina.  The yarn is hand-dyed at their studio in North Adams, Massachusetts with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment.  The yarn is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt.  Though a single ply yarn, you will find it strong as their dyeing process very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking.
