Lace butterflies soar above a border of blossoms on these square, garter stitch lace pieces. Knit from the center out in circular garter stitch lace and cast off in a simple picot edging. Change yarn weight to vary the finished size.

Lace wt scarf (shawl): 930 (1700) yds (850 (1554) meters); 16″ & 24″ (40 & 60 cm) circular needles and a set of dp needles all in size 6 (4mm); crochet hook size F (3.75mm)
Shetland wt shawl: 1100 yds (1005m); 16″ & 24″ (40 & 60 cm) circular needles and a set of dp needles all in size 9 (5.5mm); crochet hook size H (5mm)
DK wt throw: 1350 yds (1234m); 16″ & 32″ (40 & 80 cm) circular needles and a set of dp needles all in size 10.5 (6.5mm); crochet hook size J (6mm)
